This report brings together the outcomes of the DIALOGUE project's regional needs analyses and the International Workshop "Innovation Bridges: Co-Creating Innovations in the Black Sea Region", held in Varna, Bulgaria. Combining desk research, field interviews, and participatory working-group sessions with stakeholders from Türkiye, Bulgaria, and Romania, the report translates shared regional challenges into a concrete action plan for cross-border cooperation.
Here's what you can find:
- The common barriers facing all three regions in building effective international cooperation — from low R&D capacity to weak project-writing skills and a "trust deficit" among SMEs.
- A set of concrete project ideas born from the needs analysis, grouped under three shared priority areas: Agri & Bio Tech, Green Tech & Sustainability, and Digitalization & Ecosystem Innovation.
- Practical recommendations for the governance, digital services, and long-term financial sustainability of the Black Sea Innovation Platform (BSIP).
- A roadmap and funding guide — including targeted EU calls under Horizon Europe, Digital Europe, and Erasmus+ — showing how regional ideas can grow step by step into full-scale European projects.
Together, these findings and recommendations lay the foundation for how the Black Sea Innovation Platform (BSIP) will be built, governed, and sustained in the years ahead.
